Our csCreatives artist Credell Simeon will be attending many Canadian Art shows over the summer. During the summer months, it is quite typical for there to be a variety of Canadian Art shows and sales throughout the Province of Regina. This year, thus far, our csCreatives artist Credell has attended over 5 shows in Saskatchewan in her search for creative inspiration. Although very few of the shows feature three-dimensional art, the techniques and visual imagery portrayed are quite revealing.

Canadian Art Shows Feature: Aurora Art Guild

Aurora Art Guild of Regina held its Canadian art show and sale from May 11th to 13th 2023 at Innovation Place (10 Reasearch Drive University of Regina). It was an excellent showcase of art work from across the province. The Canadian art show featured oil and acrylic paintings on traditional canvas of various sizes. It was wonderful to see the Saskatchewan landscape highlighted including land, lakes, and seasonal changes in nature. Congratulations to all the artists!! One of the artist whose work grabbed the room’s attention was the art by Shelley Page.

Canadian Art Shows Feature: Brushworks Art Guild

Brushworks Art Guild held its Canadian art show and sale between June 2nd to 4th, 2023 at the Neil Balkwill Civic Arts Centre located on 2420 Elphinstone Street, Regina. Credell attended on the Saturday and it was an amazing display of beautiful, colorful and vibrant art on canvases across the gallery room. The themes that captured her attention were the flowers, floral gardens, fruits and vegetables, and the prairie skies at sunset. The work included acrylic, oil, resin and mixed media pieces. One notable artwork that caught Credell’s interest was by Saskatchewan-based artist Rhonda Sentes.

Canadian Art Show with Prairie Artists Guild

Prairie Artist Guild held its Spring Fling show and sale on May 4th to 6th 2023, at the Royal Hotel in Regina. The Canadian art show featured amazing art pieces by local artists from the Guild. It included artwork display on small canvases as tablework, framed canvases, and art greeting cards. Each piece was breath taking with detailed and skillful work on display by the artists. There was color, vibrancy, movement, and intensity in the exhibition room. One of the most memorable art on display was by Regina-based artist Natalie White.

Canadian Art Show: Tiny Art

The Tiny Art Show was put on by the Centennial Market. The opening night was held onJune 2nd, 2023. csCreatives artist Credell Simeon attended and participated in the Tiny Art Show. Her submissions were tiny glass cups (votive candle tea light size) painted with acrylic paints and polymer clay. Various artists and tiny art pieces were on display including glass work, framed canvases, mixed media pieces. leatherwork, and decoupage. This by far had the most creative and contemporary art work on display, sparking much interest and conversations.
