Earth Day 2025: Celebrating Innovation and Sustainability

Championing innovation and sustainability in Saskatchewan Earth Day 2025

People around the world will celebrate Earth Day 2025 on Tuesday, April 22, by raising awareness and taking action to protect the environment through various initiatives and community events. Firstly, since its first celebration in 1970, Earth Day has brought together over 1 billion participants annually. Participants engage in meaningful activities that range from tree planting and clean-up campaigns to educational workshops and sustainability forums. This year, our founder and artist Credell Simeon will share her unique artistic practice in Saskatchewan to honor Earth Day 2025, inviting individuals from diverse backgrounds to engage in a dialogue about nature and creativity.

At this workshop, Credell aims to inspire innovative thinking and champion stronger efforts toward environmental protection and sustainability, emphasizing the profound connection between art and ecological stewardship. Through her work, Credell motivates people to embrace their surroundings, fostering a sense of community and collective responsibility for a healthier planet. Most importantly, a planet that can serve the needs of future generations.

Celebrating Earth Day 2025

Credell, a Grenadian-born and Regina-based eco-artist, channels her passion for sustainability into impactful work through recycled art projects like bottle painting that promote zero-waste living. Her art inspires her Saskatchewan community to find beauty in repurposed materials and merges recyclables with solar energy, raising awareness of sustainability goals. In April, she launched a creative session to celebrate Earth Day 2025 and make a lasting impact.
